What
I now call the Cycle of Learning is something I first picked
up jumping with members of the (then) world champion CRW team's "Plane Scared" and "Silverdaze" in New
Zealand in the mid 80's. I was very enthused to find it again
being taught during a Tunnelcamp by Airspeed in early 2001.
Not only will you become a better skydiver but the Cycle of Learning can be applied in any aspect of your life in which you want to improve.
Over
the years I also earned my instructor ratings and became aware
of the gap in the instructional process where designated skydive
student’s graduate from the training table and find
themselves away from their supervising jumpmaster: they all
of a sudden are largely responsible for their own safety and
learning.
For
currently designated student skydivers your jumpmaster will
always be your primary source of information regarding how
to safely complete your next jump. But you can start learning
now how to best learn from your jumpmaster/coach using
the Cycle of Learning.
This
site is my way to help the learning process in all of us.
